Description and characteristics
Pinot Noir 2017
A wine the color of warm cherry with a fruity varietal character. The nose offers hints of vanilla and wild cherry that gently give way to dark chocolate on the palate.
Hand-harvested grapes, gently destemmed without crushing the berries; the must is fermented on the skins for 14-18 days with regular punch-downs of the cap. Pressing is followed by malolactic fermentation to soften the wine. Matured for 6 months in stainless steel tanks, then for 1 – 2 years in barrique or oak casks.
Slovak quality varietal red wine with predicate.
Protected Designation of Origin D.S.C. – Small Carpathian wine region, Hlohovec wine district.
